Hello there!

My name is Morgane Peirolo, I am a research assistant at the Laboratoire
Parole et Langage
, a research department affiliated to the CNRS and Aix-Marseille Université. I have a background in Psychology, Neuroscience and Linguistics, and completed my Master’s degree in the MasCo program of the Institute of Language, Communication and the Brain.

My research focuses on how the language we use influences the way we perceive our environment – a topic that I explore with behavioural and neuroimaging techniques. I am particularly interested in how learning a new pseudo-vocabulary induce shifts in colour perception, and am currently investigating this question using electro encephalography.

In September 2022, I will start my PhD at Max Planck Institute of Psycholinguistics to study the influence of literacy on social media processing.

I strongly believe in collaborative science and try to expand my knowledge of open practices.

When I am not busy doing research, I practice guitar, swing dancing and analog photography.
